Dr. Martina Kocijan participated in the 16th ECerS Conference for Young Scientists in Ceramics, held from 15 to 18 October 2025 for Department of Materials Engineering, Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad and the BioSense Institute in Novi Sad, Serbia.
On 17 October 2025, Dr. Kocijan delivered an invited lecture at the BioSense Institute entitled “Advances in Thin Film Engineering for Solar-Driven Wastewater Treatment: A Step Toward a Sustainable Future”, presenting the research results carried out within the POMERI project. In addition, Dr. Kocijan served as the chair of one of the conference sessions.
During the conference, a meeting of the Young Ceramists Network (YCN) of the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) was also held,featuring lectures by Dr. Joanna Tanska, Dr. Dawid Kozień and the Prof. Paula Vilarinho.An especially inspiring and educational lecture was delivered by Prof. Vilarinho, Vice-President of the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS), who spoke about mentorship and excellence.
