Assistant Daria Jardas Babić completed a six-month research stay at the Department of Nanostructured Materials of the Jožef Stefan Institute, within the group led by Dr. Matejka Podlogar. The aim of the training was to acquire skills in preparing cross-sectional thin-film samples for analysis using a transmission electron microscope, utilizing a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, conducting analyses with an environmental scanning electron microscope (eSEM), and operating a Raman spectrometer. During the training, she conducted analyses and measurements on ZnO thin films prepared via the PEALD technique for enhanced photocatalytic activity, which are part of the scientific research within the POMERI project. The stay was funded through the Croatian Science Foundation's mobility program—outgoing mobility for assistants (MOBDOK - 2023), and the outcomes will contribute to the POMERI project.
